wish-list wednesday! #1

(psst! if you're here to see the winner of the vintage-card giveaway, scroll to the bottom)

Hey guys! Hope everyone's enjoying their week so far! Lately it has been so hot out up in this grill, I'm thinking of writing a short auto-biography of my summer called "Too Hot for Pants". Or maybe an action-packed feature film!

"TOO HOT FOR PANTS",
starring Melissa McCarthy and Morgan Freeman...
coming to an air-conditioned theater near you.

And be on the lookout for the sequel: "2 HOT FOR PANTS AGAIN".

While I don't have my own apartment or anything (yet), one can only dream of all the pretty things that will someday occupy the walls, floors, closets, and any other piece of bare mass taking up the most likely very small amount of space. Thanks to Pinterest and site browsing, I've compiled a "Wish-List" of things (because of all things, things happen to be my favorite of things) that I think are either positively:
a) darling
b) interesting
c) reminiscent of what it would be like to be a space princess (I'll try and explain this better someday, but basically I dig anything that has to do with stars, the moon, planets, and outerspace)
or d) kind of kooky and fun!
A lot of blogs do it, but I give all my thanks to The Dainty Squid 's "Friday Favorites" posts for the idea! The Dainty Squid totally rocks, check her out if you get the chance!

Representing the first edition of "Too Hot for Pants", this dress
would be perfect for a good summer frolic! And you best believe I'd take pictures with a red rose dangling from my mouth. *cue castanets*

How great would this birdie bell jar be for displaying my
burnt baked goods for everyone to know to stay away from?

Mark my words, I will have a Dream Lites Pet

and I will be as happy as these children, gosh darnit!

Ooh! I can really imagine these "Me - The Dog - & You" pillow cases for when I'm older, settled down and in love!
Hm, I wonder who would fill the "you" space?

Not only are they a funky pair o' kicks, but I think it would
be funny to take my 5'1 self to the doctor in these:
"5'7, yes!"
"Okay, and with your shoes removed please."
"Listen, Doc, how about we just settle for 5'3 and call it a day, huh?"

Flipper-ing out over Modcloth's retro swimwear! NO WAY GET OUT, are those swans?! The late Esther Williams would be so proud! Rest in peace, aquagirl.

 SWAN DIVE, anyone?

So, while I definitely wouldn't be able to pull off the "sex-kitten" look this model appears to be having a lot of success with, I do think this shirt would make the cutest jammies!

I love these Tea for Two tea-cups! Another great find,
for when I have a loving dog in my life.
(I promise I'm not actually this pessimistic! I'm just being cheeky.
Trust me, I eat chocolate more bitter than my feelings towards my love life. I'm actually quite the romantic if you can believe it!)
My latest journal is almost full! In honor of the blog,
I could see this making a fine replacement journal,
 yes, a fine one indeed!
I just can't get over anything that has flowers.
This iPhone case is so pretty!

While I could get off into a whole tangent about how much I'd like for overalls to make a comeback and be more socially accepted in the recognition of today's fashion, I just have to say I think this dress would make any day an overall success!

Happy Wednesday!

And the winner of the vintage post-card giveaway is... Craig!
Send me your address by e-mail or Facebook and I'll get this shipped right off to ya

Craig is actually a friend of mine who just got hired as the new Buffalo Sabres social media manager! Congratulations again, Craig! This can be your going away present!

I'm sorry for those who didn't win, but I'll be doing more giveaways in the future. : )

  1. You can take one of these things off of your wish list, but I'm not gonna tell you which one. Happy early birthday :)
